Development Background
In the 21st century, consumers have the need for products that
promote well-being and healthy living.
The aroma tyre replaces the unpleasing rubber smell of the
tyre with a variety of pleasant scents such as lavender.
Design Technology
SRT (Soundproof Rib Technology)
Using the super computer, aroma tyre can restrain the noise from the friction
between the rough road and tyre.
NCT (Notches Cross Technology)
With enormous notches and sipes in the streamlined block by using the super
computer, aroma tyre can block off the noise thoroughly and get the driving
ability on the snow.
CRT (Chaos Random Technology)
Random pitch technology by using the chaos theory realises aroma tyre to
minimise the noise from the shoulder part.
Concept of the pattern design
The soft v-type block design for high speed driving by applying the fluid
movement of butterfly gives the beautiful and elegance image to aroma tyre.
Health & Safety
The Aroma Technology is an advanced formulation of 30 different materials. Using
these materials is in accordance with the regulations of the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) and International Fragrance Association (IFRA).
Of the 30 materials, 18 are edible and 12 are cosmetic materials officially
recognised by IRFA

COLOURED
SMOKE TYRES
Watching a driver with incredible skill drifting a racing car
with brightly coloured smoke screaming from the tyres is an extraordinary scene
and an exciting image to excite many spectators.
What is a coloured smoke tyre?
Coloured smoke is given off by using a dye mixed into the tread on the smoke
tyre. The smoke is activated by intense heat, generated from the friction
between a spinning tyre and the ground. The physical characteristics of the
coloured tyre smoke are the same
as normal tyre smoke.

Health & Safety
Coloured smoke doesn’t contain
any harmful materials to the body, as confirmed by the industry standard
Material Safety Data Sheet. However, due to chemical composition of regular tyre
smoke, inhalation and eye contact should be avoided.

KUMHO GOES
ECO -FRIENDLY
Kumho products combine technological innovation with an
environmentally sound vision. In a campaign to help preserve the environment,
Kumho Tyres has made a pledge to develop
environment-friendly products. HA (High Aromatic) Oil refers to the untreated "DAE
(Distillate Aromatic Extract)", which is vacuum-distilled crude oil. When used
excessively, such as in the auto industry, HA Oil causes environmental
pollution. Kumho Tyres has begun to produce HA Oil-free technology.
Kumho Tyres believes that the next generation of tyres should display excellence
in performance, safety, and environmental awareness. Years
of research and investments have led to the development of the ECOTRON tyre for
electric
vehicles. Unlike ordinary tyres, Silica, a new type
of anti-impact material, and special Carbon Black are used. This cutting-edge
combination results in a lower rolling resistance of up to 45% and a uced
combustion rate of almost 10%, which in turn uces the amount of pollutant
emissions into the air.
The SOLUS Tyre is Kumho’s flagship eco-friendly product
and is based on proprietary technologies including KADAS (tyre structure
simulation technology), ESCOT (tyre contour optimisation technology) and TTIA
(tyre-terrain interaction analysis). The tyre boasts a 35 per cent
improvement in rolling resistance and a six per cent decrease in CO2 emissions.
It is also made of more eco-friendly materials, including low PAHs (polycyclic
aromatic hydrocarbons) oils and
non-petroleum fillers while an innovative (nature-based) tread pattern gives the
SOLUS both a
greener image and a smoother ride.
